 History of Brigade Parade Ground

The story of this ground begins in the year 1857. The British became the masters of Bengal by winning the Battle of Plassey. He then built the Fort William Palace, named after the third King William of England. The grounds were built for the parade of the British army living in this fort, which was named Brigade Parade Ground.

After the British left, William Fort came into the possession of the Indian Army. Where is now the headquarters of Eastern Command? At the same time, the Brigade Parade Ground in front of the fort has become the property of the government. Let us know that the alliance of Congress and the Left parties have already registered its political presence on this ground on February 28.
